The Port of Doraleh, located in Djibouti, underwent a significant construction project that aimed to enhance its infrastructure and expand its capacity. The construction project, spearheaded by the Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority (DPFZA), involved the development of new terminals, container yards, and state-of-the-art facilities to accommodate the growing maritime trade demands in the region.
The project's budget, which reached a substantial amount, reflected the ambitious scope of the development, encompassing dredging operations, quay construction, and the installation of modern handling equipment.
Advanced port management and logistics systems were implemented to streamline cargo handling, tracking, and scheduling. State-of-the-art container handling equipment, such as automated cranes and robotic systems, were deployed to enhance the speed and precision of loading and unloading operations. Additionally, the port infrastructure was equipped with sophisticated security systems, including surveillance cameras, sensors, and access control mechanisms, to ensure the safety and integrity of the facilities.
Advanced communication and information technologies were integrated to facilitate real-time data exchange between the port authorities, shipping companies, and other stakeholders, contributing to better coordination and decision-making.
